The California Country Music
Association is a statewide nonprofit organization
consisting of dedicated Country Music Fans and
Artists. The main purpose of the CCMA is the
to recognize, support, and award country music artists.
This organization cooperates with and supports
country radio, television, cable, websites,
publications, charitable organizations, and
business associates on a state level and within
each region's community. Through the efforts
and persistence of the CCMA country music is
alive and doing well in California.
Help us fulfill our commitment to the continued
growth of Country Music.
CCMA Events and Activities Include:
SHOWCASES - The CCMA conducts showcases,
Songwriter Showcases, and any event for artists
to gain exposure before audiences, agents,
record labels, ect.
State - Winners compete for the
state title before a panel of judges.
National - The state winners compete for the
national title at the National Finals in
Pigeon Falls, Tennessee. This event is hosted
the North America Country Music Association,
International - NACMAI.
WORKSHOPS - Workshop opportunities are available
in areas of songwriting, music business,
recording, and live performance.
CCMA RANGERS - The Rangers are a volunteer unit
who provide expert assistance for events such as
Starfest, Country Fest, Birthday Bash, Country Jam,
and Regional, State, and National Showcases, Award
Shows, and specialty workshops.
CCMA NEWSLETTER - Members keep in touch with
new and special events. The CCMA sends out a
hard-copy and e-mail newsletter semi-monthly which
informs of upcoming events and activities. Bands and
venues list their live entertainment schedules
and there are special articles and interviews
with top industry people. In addition, members may
reach thousands of other members by advertising
both in the newsletters and CCMA website.
